So did you individually put each GTX 480SC in the PCI-E slot where you always put them and test them one by one than put the GTX 470 and it worked no problem (Fan RPM readings and Full Control)?.sorry I caught your remark earlier about the Bios and did the Bios match up from each of the 480s? Also are there any fan readings (RPM) from any of the 480s you can't control? If you're having any issues always do one card at a time or use one than the other one for a few days if not a week each to be sure. I have not had good experiences with Nvidia tools and Precision X seems geared towards the 600 series, I don't own a single MSI product but I prefer Afterburner for oc'ing my cards. If you click the "AUTO" button as seen below you should have manual control of the slider, don't forget to hit apply when done, your fans will then be locked at that speed as long as afterburner is open so you should also click on the apply overclock at startup in the lower left under profile, then it will go to that speed whenever you start your rig.

įirst I would remove all the programs, Afterburner, Precision X, and NVidia Tools ( might not hurt to run driver sweeper and reinstall the video drivers too ). Hi Alan, i'm not sure if this is any help to you but here goes.
